Kallye Smith is a Southern Studies MAstudent from Magee, Mississippi. She graduated from the University of Mississippi as an undergrad in 2021 with BAs in History and English with an emphasis in Creative Writing. Her undergrad thesis was a series of short ghost stories and focused around being haunted. Her current research for Southern Studies is similarly focused, looking into haunted spaces in New Orleans, Louisiana. Kallye is set to graduate from the Southern Studies MA program in May of 2023.
